We’re delighted to welcome back a familiar face – Lamasi “Muss” Sanele.

Muss first joined Key Skills in 2019, quickly proving himself to be a natural in recruitment with his people-first approach and unflappable style. After a few years of running our manufacturing desk, he left in early 2024 to pursue work in the community with his best mate and later at the Laura Ferguson Trust. It was valuable work, but the pull of the hustle and pace of recruitment proved too strong and now he’s back with us, picking up right where he left off.

Muss is known across Wellington trades for his energy, humour, and ability to build genuine connections. Whether it’s finding the right worker for a site at short notice or checking in on crews to make sure they’re safe and supported, he brings the same calm reliability every time. His return is already creating a buzz among clients and workers who know and trust him.

Outside of work, Muss is just as committed to people. A rugby man through and through, his nickname “Harry Potter” came from the magic he used to work on the field, and he now spends time coaching the next generation. His pride is close to home too – his son, Senio, was recently selected for the NZ Under-20s and is debuting for the Wellington Lions, which means Muss always has plenty to talk about beyond recruitment.

We’re excited to have Muss back at the heart of the manufacturing desk and know clients and workers alike will be too.
